Neon, for trumpet, bass clarinet, and electronics (2020) – 4'35"
While the slow, rhythmically-amorphous classical-electronic-piece sound has worked well for some composers, I felt like I’d heard it too many times on classical electronic concerts, so I decided not to do that. And I listened to Knower and Sungazer, Red Velvet and NCT, and watched a bunch of tutorials (particular by Virtual Riot) so I would be less bad at electronics, and this is what happened.
Neon was composed for the
Spark Duo.
